Hey San Antonio!
I’m Karina Gafford! I chose San Antonio as my home when my husband retired from the USAF in 2018, 3 years after we moved here for his final PCS in late 2015, following 7 PCS-es that brought us to Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas.
I’m a real estate broker associate with a passion for finding new places to explore and learning. I love travel, reading, and cooking vegetarian suppers for my huge Irish family when they’re in town, and hate it when I miss out on good stand up comedy and theater acts when they come to town.
For a few fun facts - I was born and raised in Ireland, and moved to the US at 15. I studied abroad in Australia. I have a Masters in History, and often nerd out with my clients on patterns and trends in urban and economic developments. I have also traveled around the world on cruise ships and trains for 8 months with my family while homeschooling the kids, and we visited 20 countries!
I enjoy spending my time hiking in Friedrich Wilderness Park and finding great playgrounds with my kids, like Yanaguana at Hemisfair Park and the natural scape at Government Canyon. I currently live in Schertz with my husband and kids where they attend one of our city's wonderful charter schools, and we have previously lived in both Helotes and Fair Oaks Ranch. I’m also passionate about serving the greater San Antonio and hill country community, and look forward to connecting with you!
