January Market Report San Antonio

The real estate market shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, according to the latest San Antonio Board of Realtors market report.

Although the January sales report showed a 1% decrease in total sales from January 2021 – with a total of 2,521 homes sold – homes were staying on the market for an average of 12 days less than this time last year.

Average home sales price increased by 17% to $351,226, while the median price appreciated by 18% to $304,700. The average home stayed on the market for just 35 days.

SABOR’s Chairman of the Board, Tracie Hasslocher, said, “2022 is starting with a bang with 99.5 percent of homes closing at list price.”

Comparatively, the state of Texas saw a 3.8% increase in homes sold, an 18.9% increase in median price, and a 16.9% increase in average price.
