March 2023 San Antonio Housing Report
According to the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®, the number of monthly home sales is decreasing. The average home price saw a 1% decrease to $366,834. Median prices had no changes from 2022 and still sits around $314,945. The area saw a 12% decrease in total closed sales with 3,129 homes sold. At the end of the month the San Antonio area had 3,995 new listings, 9,285 active listings, and 3,073 pending sales. The price per square foot had a decrease of 2%, making it $177/sqft. The average home stayed on the market for 72 days, a 100% increase from March 2022. The area also had a 3% increase in residential rental with the new average price being $1,815.
Sara Brisen?o Gerrish, SABOR's 2023 Chair of the Board said, “The San Antonio area is seeing the smallest year-over-year decrease in home sales in the last eight months.”
