There’s something so special about making your home come to life and giving it your own special twist.  But, what do you do if you know you won’t be tied to one spot for long but you still want to add a few personal touches?  Check out some of the hacks below to learn about what you can do to make sure you're both setting yourself up for a quick move out process while also utilizing every inch of space you can.

Floor to Ceiling Curtains

If painting your home's walls is a “no go” because you just don’t want to do it or you don’t have the time, or maybe the idea was turned down by housing, floor to ceiling curtains are a great alternative to help add a pop of color or texture to a room! (Plus, breakdown is simple!)

Trunk

Hear us out on this...if you have a trunk handy or can find one for a reasonable price, don't go out and buy and set up a new coffee table.  Instead, use the trunk as your coffee table!  Just make sure it has a flat top.

The best part is the inside can be used as extra storage space while living in your home or to help pack things up when you make your next move!

Bed Risers

Not to take you back to your college dorm living days, BUT do you remember how tiny some of those living spaces were?  Bed risers come in handy as a great way to add a bit of storage underneath your bed and that’s exactly why they are making the list for military home residents to consider.  Rather than purchasing and building shelving units, this can be a great alternative to store things like shoes, seasonal clothing, etc.

Rugs

Do you have empty space on your wall that’s an eye sore?  Try picking up a small, decorative rug and hanging it up on the wall.  Not only will this add some vibrance, but if you share a wall with anyone in the home/neighbors, it will help to block sound.

Tablecloth

Throw a tablecloth over a table and use the space underneath for storage. Though they may not have the most appeal, tablecloths can come in handy if you are tight on space and need a spot to keep miscellaneous items but would prefer for them to not be seen!

Getting creative with your home doesn’t have to be stressful. Hopefully this list sparked a few other storage-saving and easy set-up/breakdown hacks for you to try!
